Ryder hooks up a scanner that doesn’t work as 333 keys up on 492.525MHz. I could easily overpower his transmission through my base station radio. Turns out its an offshore radiotelephone frequency that is monitored by the Federal Gov’t. Not to be used without a license. The wideband signal probably could not be received by a narrowband scanner…

Old Microphone walkie talkie effect – Sony Vegas tutorial

I had been looking to simulate an old style microphone sound effect as used in some songs and public service announcements and just stumbled across a preset sound effect plugin that can do this and be tweaked to give a walkie talkie fx too.
