Emergency Communications: Motorola Talkabout MR355R FRS/GMRS radios
Just another installment in my series about emergency communications. These are pretty neat little radios, price is right, and fairly versitle. Defenitly get my 2 thumbs up. Im in no way a communications expert, so this is just my review from a consumer perspective. These offer some complex features that arent available on other radios like the use of repeaters, but they are fairly simple to operate. Bug out radios SHTF
These are some two way radios I picked up for 15 dollars. I got three for this price…wow! Any radio will work with any other radio, so if you find a mis matched one..pick it up. The odd radio will work with the ones you already have. Try to get the radios with the NOAA weather channel.

Emergency GMRS 2-way Radios: Communication in Case of Calamity
These Uniden two-way radios are pretty nice ‘walkie-talkies’, and have some pretty cool functions. Very handy NOAA Weather Channel, and Emergency Weather Alert as well. I bought them to be a relatively solid communication back-up to our phones in the event of natural disaster which potentially could temporarily knock out electicity, water, cell phones, etc. I got the “28-mile” set, not knowing you need a GMRS license from the FCC to take advantage of the potential range these little radios have. But they are good to have stashed in a faraday box, just in case!
