The Improved Exceed RC Falcon 40 Helicopter reviewed

By request, I review the newest version of the Falcon 40 ETRM helicopter. It is really another very good helicopter to learn 4 channel flying on. You don’t need a Porsche to learn on, so start out with something inexpensive like this VW till you see if you can do it at all. I got this from Xheli.com. When Jeff came over with his new Flyzone Plane, he said he was not getting a good charge to his battery. (It charges from the TX) I said, “Well, just plug it into one of the E-Flite single cell chargers.” When we tried to do that, we found the base was too big to fit in the charger battery slot. So I decided to take it apart and modify it. (I love to make gadgets) I added a meter to read the relative voltage of the LiPo and the main power batteries. Aftermath of exploded LiPo battery on charge for too long…

This battery is a 2000mAH LiPo battery (approx.), 7.4v, it was on charge through a charger , that was connected to a 240V(AC)-12V(DC) power supply, it literally, exploded! Charger beeped, to say battery was fully charged, then, within approx. 1-2mins, it exploded into a ball of flames!! Unfortunately, we didn’t get any footage of the explosion, only the aftermath in the kitchen…
