This is my second home-made helicopter design. The first one used a home-made motor but people had problems making their own motos so I designed this one which uses a standard GWS IPS motor. The canopy on this one is actually a MIA canopy. Free plans can be downloaded from www.enrarot.net

Training flights of the Blade 400 3D RTF helicopter. Not much to see, but it is very stable. The Heli itself is nowhere near the quality of a Trex but then again a TREX needs all the extra bits to complete plus a lot of knowledge and time to assemble. Also it works out that even a basic TREX will cost double what one of these does. The Frame of the Heli is a little too plastic and a one piece affair but apears to be of reasonable quality. We have three of these flying at our club and the owners seem happy enough, especially when set up by our heli Guru.
